dot-com The Movie Scavenger Hunt

Please join our cast and crew on the dot-com The Movie SCAVENGER HUNT for all these items on our NEEDS LIST. All Locations and Props/Vehicles are needed in the Los Angeles/Orange County area.

LOCATIONS

1.) Small recording studio for a 1-2 day weekend shoot. It needs a good control room and board, and a glass view into the studio with mics, etc...

2.) A small radio station for a 1-2 day weekend shoot. It could be a different recording studio as a possibility. A large bathroom would be good to shoot in also.

3.) A house (prefer single family style w/frontyard, etc) for a 2 day weekend shoot. It will be the home of the 2 reporters (Monica & Janelle) for WorldWebDay and Monica’s daughter Juliette. They also work out of the house. The location itself needs to be quiet, have some parking nearby, and friendly occupants who don't mind their house being invaded for a weekend. We can pay a small amount for phone calls, electricity, etc if necessary.

4.) An office corridor, and medium/large office room with large desk, etc., for a 1 day weekend shoot. It will be an FBI office working on domestic terrorism.

5.) A record store that would let us film unobtrusively for a few hours on 1 weekend day. They don't need to shut down the store, we just need a scene where Janelle & Shay look at some CD's. It will probably have to be a smaller independent store that could give us permission to shoot.

6.) A liquor store for a 1 night weekend shoot. We need both inside and outside. The store will need to be closed. We could shoot it after closing time until dawn if necessary. We can pay a small amount for phone calls, electricity, etc if necessary.

7. A warehouse where we can fire blanks for the ending. We’d need it pretty much for 1 whole weekend. We can pay a small amount for phone calls, electricity, etc if necessary.

8.) A bar with space for a country band to play. We’d need it for most of a weekend. We can pay a small amount for phone calls, electricity, etc if necessary.

9.) A goth/industrial dance club that would let us film unobtrusively for a few hours on 1 weekend night. They don't need to shut down the club, we can shoot and replace the audio later.

PROPS/VEHICLES

1.) Guns. We need several blank firing rifles (M16, AK47 type) and pistols. A sniper rifle. We'll pay for the ammo. (several weekend days)

2.) An old rancher's pickup for Juan. (1 weekend day)

3.) A limo for The Man. (1 weekend evening)

4.) A 4x4 for Gary & Roy. We’d need it for 5-6 weekends. Prefer American made, something like a Jeep Cherokee or Ford Explorer or a Suburban.

5.) Military paraphenalia of various types. Grenades & explosives (fake), supplies like rations, water, large oil drums, radios, ammo cases, gas masks, uniforms, body armor, etc.

6.) CHEM-MOPP suit (looks sort of like a spacesuit).

7.) Small portable police radio scanner that works. 2 small powerful walkie talkies that work.

8.) Some mocked up websites and interactive screen graphics and teleconferencing. Someone who could help create these.

9.) 2 up to date computers for Monica & Janelle. One needs to be able to play back video for a teleconference.

10.) Chemistry lab equipment.

11. 11.) An up to date laptop computer for Janelle. A digital DV camcorder for Janelle, and one for Roy/Art. A portable MP3 player for Janelle.

12.) A brief 3-D computer animated special effects shot showing the exterior of a rural house being blown up. Someone who could help create this.

13.) Lights and grip equipment. Large black sheets/duvateen/velour.

14.) PC or Mac edit system to edit digital video. Someone to edit or assist in editing.

Besides deferred payment & good karma, we can also offer an on-screen credit for the person(s) or company who are helping.

*Note, we ALWAYS leave a location (or prop) looking as good as when we arrived! (or better! :)
