Thunder Report

Report for Thursday the 18th

A major announcement was made on Thunder last night, when they said that at Bash at the Beach, Diamond Dallas Page, and KARL MALONE, would fight together in a tag team match against Hollywood Hogan and Dennis Rodman. Nobody knew anything about this and when they announced it, it shocked me also. DDP did a very good job recruiting to find him a team mate who could fight back against the two who just days ago had attacked him with a chair. DDP was apparently getting ready to announce that he was going to join the Wolfpac when Hogan and Rodman interupted and struck him over the back a number of times with a chair. Npw, Malone will assist DDP at Bash at the Beach in a task to get the two back. The first match of the night, was a very surprising one since it was between Steve McMichael and Mike Edos. McMichael had not fought for months after suffering an arm injury, and everybody was surprised to see him back in action. Edos got on McMichael early in the match by working on his wrapped arm but after a while, McMichael fought back and was woken up when Edos hit him a couple times in the jaw. After attempting to Piledrive him once, tryed again, and succeded. Next, Raven and the rest of his flock came out and Raven started talking about Saturn. He said that Saturn had broke his heart and that he didn't know if he could ever forgive him. He then commanded Reece that he would win the U.S. belt that night. Then Saturn came out and told Raven that he didn't need his flock anymore and that he was on his own. The flock attacked him but Canyon came out and saved Saturn and they whipped the flock. The next match, was Fit Finley Vs. Brad Armstrong. After Armstrong missed a double ax handle off the top ropes, Fit Finley kicked him and then finished him with a tombstone pile driver. In the next match, the Giant once again came to the ring smoking. He was to face Disco Inferno. Disco told the Giant that smoking was bad and then he atttacked him and started pounding him. However, the Giant just stood there then clotheslined him. He handed his cigerrate to Vince and then threw Disco into the corner and then chokeslammed him and covered him with his foot. Malenko came out next, and told Jericho that since he had insulted somebody in his family, he was going to do anything and everything it took to get the belt away from Jericho and into the hands of somebody that appreciated it and deserved it. In the Brittish Bulldog's and Jim Neidhart's first tag team match, they faced Chono and Tenzan for the IWGP belts. It was a equally matched match and Bulldog had it won by hitting a running powerbomb. The ref got to the two count and was on his way to three but Chono came running in and hit the bulldog with the belt. Alex Wright fought Konnan in the next match. Rude came out and made fun of the Wolfpac like he usually does and distracted Konnan but this time Konnan reversed a move by Wright and rolled him over and pinned him. Eddie Guerro was in the next match. He came to the ring very depressed after getting beat by his own family member at the last PPV. He faced Chris Benoit. After Benoit missed a diving headbutt, Guerro tryed to capitalize with a frogsplash but he also missed. He got back up and recovered and had the sleeper hold on Benoit but Benoit reversed it and put on the Crippler Crossface. After using garbage cans, wheel barrows, and even toilet seats, Public Enemy beat Sick Boy and Riggs. For half the match, Riggs fought with a toilet Seat around his neck like he didn't even know. P.E. ended up winning by throwing Riggs through not one but two tables. The final match of the night was between undefeated Bill Goldberg and Reese of the flock. Reese was probably the biggest guy that Goldberg had fought but he beat him like everybody else. After Reese put Goldberg in a suplex, and woke him up, Goldberg did the routine, Spear, then jackhammer and beat him.
