TARIAN PERSEMBAHAN

A lively number, this dance exudes an atmosphere of joy, warmth and friendliness as the dances perform in a traditional gesture of welcome. Basically a dance of welcome, the Tarian Persembahan reflects the hospitality and respects of the host for his guests, as the dances in symbolic fashion shower the audience with yellow rice or flower petals. Originally performed by the ladies, the dance has undergone changes and modification with time and is today performed by both sexes.
