I have been in and around the Army for 24 years!!! In that time I have learned a great deal about soldiers and their families. Having been a soldier myself for 3 years and then living with a soldier, (my husband), for 20 years has exposed me to many varied walks of life.
Soldiers and their families experience their jobs, and life around those jobs like no other form of career. Sometimes it is really nice and wonderful!!!
Like when you get your new duty station and find out it is just where you wanted to go!! For myself, that was Athens, Greece and then Colorado!!!
Then there are times when it is really bad!!!
Such as when my husband came home and told me he was going to Saudi Arabia for Desert Storm!!!
That was a rough time!!!
There are many families that experience much, much worse things than I did!!! Some of these families lost family members!!!
Their grief is so tragic!!
For there are many soldiers who are still unaccounted for!!! Missing all these years!!!
So for all the soldiers out there now, the ones that have gone before, and the ones that will go after, I thank you!!!
God Bless You All!!!
I have adopted this great soldier from Wyoming who is still misssing!!!
