ECW Results In Cleveland, OH (Dudleys Win Tag Titles!)
Extreme Championship Wrestling invaded the Masonic Auditorium in Cleveland, OH on Saturday, October 24, 1998 for the final television taping prior to the November To Remember pay-per-view. This was a big night of action with the finishing touches on a few angles heading into the pay-per-view on November 1. The show included a major title change as well. Here are complete results as sent in by Mike who attended the show. Thanks and full credit goes to Mike.
1. Chris Chetti vs. Amish Roadklll (with Danny Doring) Chris beat him with the triple jump moonsault. Good opening match. Roadkill had lot of heel heat.

3. F.B.I (with Tommy Rich) vs. Masato Tanaka and Balls Mahoney (with Axl Rotten) Good Match, Crowd screamed "Rich Needs Rehab." Tanaka and Balls win with a chair shot plus Tanaka with the Tornado DDT! Axl challenges RVD and Sabu later for the belts.

5. Ulf Hermann vs. Jerry Lynn Ok Match, but the people weren't into it. Jerry had a nice dive to the floor. Lynn wins and Ulf Hermann yells like an a$$.
6. The Dudley Boys vs. Sabu and Rob Van Dam for the ECW Tag-Team Titles Balls and Masato originally had the match, but they were attacked by The Dudley Boys. There were wicked chair shots and blood everywhere. Then, Fonzie challenges The Dudley Boys for a title match. GREAT MATCH!! Sabu dives in the crowd and hits the chairs and steps. He's spitting blood everywhere. Rob Van Dam does his somersault plancha outside! Then Triple Threat come down and fought against Sabu and Rob Van Dam. During the mayhem, The Dudleys hit Sabu with the 3D and win the belts going into the PPV! The Dudley Boys are the NEW ECW World Tag-Team Champions.
7. Shane Douglas vs. Super Nova for the ECW Heavyweight Title At the beginning of the match, Francine danced with Meanie, but then hit him downstairs. Leopard skin has never looked so good. Francine looked hot! Super Nova tried, but just was overmatched. Nova gives up in a submission hold. They beat on Super Nova and Meanie after the match.
8. Chris Candido (with Tammy Lynn Sytch) beat Lance Storm (with Tammy Lynn Bytch) Both women looked fine as hell! Same match as usual with Candido winning as Sytch hits a Stunner on Bytch and a DDT on Storm. Sytch strips Bytch down to her panties and bra. (What a sight!)
9. Tommy Dreamer, New Jack, and Spike Dudley vs. Justin Credible, Jason, Jack Victory, Rod Price, One Man Gang and Big Sal E. Graziano in an Extreme Death Match Starts with Tommy and Credible, and they fight all over the building. Tommy brings a ladder to the ring. Then Jack Victory and Rod Price attack Tommy. New Jack comes out with his bucket of toys! Jason and Jack did blade jobs. Jason was bleeding all over the place. Lance Wright comes out and hits Tommy with a suplex. New Jacks whacks his ass with a guitar. The One Man Gang and Big Sal comes out, but Spike comes out and hits the Acid Drop on Big Sal. Spike pins Big Sal for the win. (Wrestlingheadlines)

Ahh, I have just returned from a very interesting house show. It was quite the blast. From Beach Balls to Brawls, this house show had it all.
Match 1 -- Chris Chetti defeated Roadkill -Slow match, however it drew lots of heat because it was the opening match. Chetti wins with that moonsault finisher he has.
Match 2 -- Jerry Lynn defeated FBI member -This match was terrible. All I can remember is that Jerry Lynn won.
Match 3 -- Blue Meanie defeated Ulf Herman -As you can tell, this match also blew bigtime. I'm really blanking out now on these results.
Match 4 -- Balls Mahoney and Masato Tanaka defeated the Dudley Brothers -Masato got a large pop from the crowd. Chair shots did in the Dudley's.
Match 5 -- Candido/Sytch defeated Storm/Bytch -My god, Sytch is so hot in person. Sytch and Candido win with some stupid move. This match disappointed me until I saw Sytch strip Bytch to her bra and thong.
Match 6 -- Sabu and Franchise Shane Douglas went to a NO CONTEST -This match was incredible, Sabu leaped into the crowd and all. Sabu and Shane were both on the top rope and they fell onto a table and smacked their heads off of it. They laid on the ground and 2 refs counted 1,2,3. They both disagreed on the winner...which lead to...
Match 7 -- RVD defeated Bam Bam Bigelow -By far, the best match I've ever seen in person. This match was crazy as hell. They came into the crowd and went into the back of the building and fought on top of tables, 3 out of 4 tables were busted. RVD won with his chair-kick finisher.(The Van Daminator)
Match 8 -- Tommy Dreamer defeated Justin Credible -Interesting Match, New Jack came in at the end, Big Sally Graziano and One Man Gang helped JC to beat up New Jack and Dreamer. Jack Victory was also there. Spike comes down and helps Dreamer win.
OVERALL: One of the best House Show's I've been into. The ECW atmosphere is just so intense compared to a WWF or a WCW atmosphere. If ECW comes to your area, buy a ticket, you'll be glad you did.
ECW 10/22 Buffalo show report
Thanks to WH advocate Mistress Carrie for sending this in...
+ Chetti vs. Doring w/RoadKill ----Doring wins with interference from RoadKill and Jeff Jones who counted for the pin, although he wasn't the legal ref.
+ Big Dick Dudley vs. TAZ --Over in under a minute, Dudley's jump on TAZ and out come Van Dam/Sabu and Candido, Douglas tried to get into the ring but wasn't allowed.
+ Tracey Smothers w/Tommy Rich and Little Guido vs. SuperNova w/Blue Meanie --Smothers wins with interference from Tommy Rich, Guido and Meanie were handcuffed at ringside so they wouldn't interfere.
+ Mikey Whipwreck vs Shane "The Franchise" Douglas w/Francine -- Good match, Douglas won, of course.
+ Lance Storm w/Tammy Bytch vs. Candido w/Tammy Sytch -- Candido wins with help from Tammy Sytch who ended up pulling off Bytch's outfit and Candido stripped down to his thong and then donned Miss Bytch's outfit.
+ Balls w/Axl vs. Masato Tanaka --GREAT match, nice work between these two guys! Tanaka wins with the pin on Balls after he dropped Balls head first onto a pile of four chairs.
+ DeVon Dudley and Bubba Ray Dudley w/Sign Guy, Gertner and Big Dick vs. Sabu and Rob Van Dam w/Fonzie --Sabu and Van Dam win this one.
+ Main Event saw Justin Credible w/Jason and Jack Victory vs. New Jack and Tommy Dreamer --Nice work once again, Dreamer and Victory went into the crowd and out in the bleachers and upon coming back to the ring Dreamer and NJ both ended up getting pummeled after One Man Gang and Big Sal E came out....which in turn Spike came out and did Acid Drops on all of them for the win.
Big thanks to David Smith for this excellent show report. **********
Hey, I just got back from ECW's debut show in Birmingham, Alabama and all I can say is that it ROCKED!! I couldn't imagine how many ECW fans were in Birmingham and that new the chants and everything. The crowd was totally into it and here are the match results. Note, we don't get ECW on T.V. down here so I don't know who was who in Justin Credible's group.
Match 1: Tommy Rogers pins Robert Gibson after The Tamikaze: Kind of a slow opener but none the less, it was good. Gibson played the face as everyone knew who he was but didn't have a clue who Rogers was. In the end, Rogers pulled out the Tamikaze for the victory.
Match 2: The FBI(Smothers and Dorring) pinned Super Nova and The Blue Meanie after "The Don" blasted Nova with a chain: Right as The FBI came out, the crowd was on their case. All of a sudden, Rich caught something I yelled at him and starting pointing in my direction. I was sitting in the second level but very close to the floor. After jawing at Rich, two drunk guys behind me started to use every word in the book at Rich and the rest of the wrestlers. Rich got enormous heel heat when he dissed Paul "Bear" Bryant(A death wish in Alabama) and then George Wallace. Nova and Meanie were impressive and Nova is a better wrestler than I thought. I guess he's trying to tell Bill Apter something. The typical dance contest ensued and Meanie won it but got blindsided in the end. The match went back and forth until Rich blasted Nova with a chain, giving Dorring the pinfall win. There were alot of "negative" chants towards The FBI and alot of "BWO" and "Stevie" chants for Nova and The Meanie.
MATCH 3: Bam Bam Bigelow pinned Chris Chetti with "Greetings from Asbury Park": Even though Bam Bam played the heel, he got a great ovation. I stood up and cheered for him, he saw me, and yelled straight to me "I don't need you." That rocked for me as Bam Bam said something to me! Ok, I know that was lame but so what! Anyway, Chetti was in control for most of the match and even hit the triple jump moonsault. However, Bam Bam came back and spiked Chris for the win.
MATCH 4: FTW TITLE MATCH: Taz makes Chris Candido tap out to The Tazmission: In the beginning, Chris comes out alone but a huge "Tammy" chant begins. He talks about Tammy for a while and asks if we want her to come out. Well, you can guess what the whole arena wanted. Then, being the crafty heel he is, Candido said "I would never bring Tammy to a hellhole like Birmingham." I don't know if he said it like that but it was the general idea. Taz then came out to thunderous pop and began to get cheap heat by saying "He was Alabama and Chris was Tennessee." Before the match, a sign saying: "Taz, she was only 15" was taken up along with another I didn't see. The match was pretty even but in the end, Taz pulled The Tazmission out of no-where and Candido tapped out. Another great sign was "The Best Triple Threat: Jimmy and The Twins!"
Match 5: ECW T.V. TITLE MATCH: Rob Van Dam pins The One Man Gang: OMG comes out with Jeff Jones and doesn't get much of a response except a "We want Slick" chant. RVD came out to a huge ovation along with the two tag belts and the T.V. belt. OMG asked Rob if he wanted to spare an ass whipping and hand over the belt now or get a thorough beat down. Rob said he would up the ante and whoop OMG's ass in the process. The match itself was kindof boring with a couple of chair shots from Van Dam. His kicks were off and alot of "You F*CKED Up" Chants occured. Van Dam hit a wicked chair shot/kick combo for the win.
Match 6: The Dudleys(D-Von and Buh-Buh) vs. Masato Tanaka and Ballz Mahoney: The Dudleys came out first and D-Von was wearing a confederate flag bandanna. Buh-Buh proceed to get the crowd in a riotness state as usual as he dissed some guy's girlfriend quite harshly. He then delivered his best line: "If you were any prettier, you would still be a F*CKING UGLY WHORE!" Joel then got on the mike and said someone's mother was so good in bed last night that all she had left was the Crimson Tide. Great line! Ballz and Tanaka came out to a great pop but The Dudleys were in control for the majority of the match. Spot of the night was the dueling chair sequence between The Dudleys and Ballz/Tanaka. All 4 men got real stiff chair shots. In the end, Ballz hit The Nutcracker on one Dudley and Tanaka hit a Tornado DDT on the other for the win. Joel, Big Dick, and Sign Guy all got a beat down from Ballz and Tanaka.
MATCH 7: Sabu vs. Mikey Whipwreck: This match was a typical Sabu match. He came out wearing all three belts like RVD did. It didn't take long for Sabu to bring in the chair and he hit some good chair shots on Mikey. Mikey also got in some good licks as well when Sabu would blow the spot. Great spot was when Mikey laid on a table, slanted on the edge of the ring and Sabu hit a springboard off the chair onto the table leg drop onto Mikey. Sabu then got the win with a killer Arabian Face Buster from the top rope.
MATCH 8: ECW WORLD TITLE MATCH: SHANE DOUGLAS PINS LANCE STORM: Storm came out first and since it was my first time to see his Tammy, I must say she looks quite good. The guys behind me were dying every time she would bend over in her extremely mini-dress. No complaints here though. Shane then came out and Francine looked as good as ever. He dissed WCW and WWF for a bit and then talked briefly about his days in Continental. The match itself was quite boring and poorly worked. Francine and Tammy were the only high points of the match. The ending was really messed up as I missed something and then Shane was announced the winner. In the end, Francine came up and proceeded to strip Tammy which got a killer ovation from the crowd. Shane played baby face in this match like only he could. A big "Show Your Tits" chant started up in the middle of the match and Francine said: "You must be talking to me because that Bitch doesn't have anything under her shirt."
MATCH 9: EXTREME DEATH MATCH: JUSTIN CREDIBLE vs. TOMMY DREAMER: Justin came out with the singapore cane along with Chastity and someone else(couldn't figure out who it was. Might have been Rod Price. (He was wearing jeans and had his hair slicked back.) Justin told Tommy not to come out because if he did, Justin would have to kill Tommy. Tommy then came out and said, "If you are going to kill me in the end, I'll have to beat your F*CKING ASS IN THE MEANTIME!" He also called Chastity a herpes infected whore. This match was total brawl that went on the second level and took about 5 minutes before it spilled into the ring. In the ring, Chastity got a wicked piledriver and looked like she was really hurt as they carried her to the back. Then came out Credible's crew and I knew one of them was Ulf Herman. One guy was bald and looked like Barry Darsow and the other kind of looked like The Sandman. Anyway, they proceed to whip on Tommy's tail for a while until "Natural Born Killer" started up and the crowd went crazy. Out came New Jack and Kronus with a trash can of weapons. The mayhem was too wild to call as they went into the crowd real early. One good spot was New Jack hanging Justin from the ring. The spot of the night was New Jack jumping from the balcony onto a table but I don't know who was on it. The mayhem spilled back into the ring where Kronus and the Sandman look a-like were busted open and then Spike Dudley ran out! He wailed on every until Big Sal came out. Spike gave everyone an acid drop including Big Sal who he pinned for the win. After the pin, everyone beat on each other some more until Justin's crew left and The faces were in the ring. New Jack got on the mic and said: "EVERY MOTHER F*CKING REDNECK IN BIRMINGHAM HAS JUST SHOWN ME THAT THE TOWN IS ECW!" After that, the show ended and everyone was chanting for Paul E. I left and I don't know if he came out but if he did, I'm going to be pissed.
Other notes: Great crowd on hand for the show, about 2-3,000. I talked to a security officer and he said the show on 10/16/98 in Ozark, Alabama only drew about 200 because it was homecoming in the town. He also said the arena owner, a minister, said they couldn't cuss, use tables, or use blood. The officer said they would never go back to Ozark but are coming back to Mobile, Montgomery, and Birmingham. RF Video was on hand and they were doing great business along with ECW T-Shirt sales. The crowd was pumped and I'm glad we got something more than WCW and WWF. I still couldn't believe there were that many ECW in a mark central town like Birmingham. Alot of Goldberg sucks chants went up which got the crowd going good.
Best Signs of the Night: Taz, She's only 15 The Best Triple Threat: Jimmy and The Twins DDP Ain't Got SH*T on RVD Fonzie Baked 24:7 (Too Sweet)
- The show started out with Lance Storm accompanied by Tammy Bytch on the microphone saying Sunny wouldn't be there because of them, and she called her a whore. They continued with their trashing talking by saying Francine's breasts are fake, and she has a big nose. The Franchise Shane Douglas then came down, saying f*ck Canada, f*ck Storm, f*ck Bytch, and f*ck the doctors. Douglas laid down a challenge to Storm with the belt on the line, and the crowd popped HUGE.
- Match 1: FBI over Chris Chetti, Blue Meanie, and Super Nova. Match started with Tracy Smothers vs Chetti, but later became a 6-Man
- Match 2: Jerry Lynn over Mike Whipwreck in a good match, although no crowd heat
- Match 3: Balls Mahoney over Chris Candido. Bam Bam Biglow came in during the match and threw Balls through a table. Five minutes later Axl Rotten came out with a chairshot on Candido.
- InterMission - Fans started a "Show Your Tits" chant at a hot looking chick, who gave a quick flash. Fans chanted again, and she did it once again while standing on a chair this time. She showed them once again, including her her Bikini underwear thistime. Then a chant of "In The Ring" began, but the girl was reluctant this time. Balls and Mickey come out to convine her into getting in the ring, and Balls carries her into the ring, with the the place going crazy. Balls then stripped her shirt off and really got himself a good feel.
- Dudleys came down to provoke the crowd quite a bit
- Match 4: Spike Dudley over D-Von Dudley after tons of interfearence
- Match 5: Justin Credible over Tommy Rogers.
- Match 6: Tommy Dreamer, New Jack, and Kronus over Jack Victory, The Equalizer, and someone else w/ OMG, Lance Wright, Danny Doring, and Ulf Herman. Match started with Dreamer vs Jack Victory, but Dreamer challenged for a tag team street fight. Tons of weapons were used, such as trash cans, keyboards, crutches, pie pans, etc, etc, etc. Jack Victory bladed badly during the event, it was a large a mess.
- Match 7: Sabu over Rod Price
- Match 8: Shane Douglas over Lance Storm. Fans chanted "show your tits" throughout the match. Francine eventually ripped off Miss Bytch's dress.
After the match Shane tried to get Francine to flash the crowd. She teased it but then got on the mic and said she won't because the fans all cheered for that 350 pound skank earlier. Everyone booed. Francine referred to tht girl which Balls felt up and all, who wasn't all that large.
- Main Event Match 9: Taz vs Rob Van Dam never happened, although they were advertised.
