Meeting was called to order by President James Hacker at 2:29p.m.

Old Business

Minutes from last meeting read by Secretary/Treasurer Michael Mason. Motion was made by Brian Reams to accept minutes as read seconded by Dennis Bradford. Motion carried

Treasurer report was read by Secretary/Treasurer Michael Mason. Motion was made by Brian Reams to accept Treasurer report as read, seconded by Dennis Bradford. Motion carried.

President James Hacker called for continued work on the By-laws for the Eastern Kentucky Ambulance Providers Association, a lengthy discussion was held ending with a motion from Brian Reams to accept the By-laws for the Eastern Kentucky Ambulance Providers Association as written with the changes to be typed and distributed to the members of the council by the next meeting for an official signing, seconded by Dennis Bradford. Motion carried.

Motion was made by Matthew Couch to close old business, seconded by Brian Reams. Motion carried.

New Business

A copy of the new Membership Application for the Eastern Kentucky Ambulance Providers Association, was given to the members of the council for review by Michael Mason. After review and discussion by the council members A Motion was made by Matthew Couch to accept the Membership Application for distribution to possible new members to the Eastern Kentucky Ambulance Providers Association, seconded by Brian Reams. Motion carried.

pg.2 Two new Applications were submitted to the Eastern Kentucky Ambulance Providers Association for approval by the council. (1). Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County (2). Allen’s Ambulance Service Inc.

Motion was made by Dennis Bradford to accept both Applications as new members of the Eastern Kentucky Ambulance Providers Association, seconded by Matthew Couch. Motion carried.

Discussion was made by Rick Hammond of Knox County EMS on Paul Deaton selling both of his Ambulance Services. Also explained that Mr. Deaton will still hold his position on the 8th region Managed Care board.

Motion was made by Brian Reams to hold our regular monthly meeting at Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County, London Kentucky on August 28, 1997.

Motion was made by Brian Reams to close new business, seconded by Dennis Bradford. Motion carried.

Motion was made by Matthew Couch to Adjourn this meeting of the Eastern Kentucky Ambulance Providers Association, seconded by Brian Reams. Motion carried.
