I have been a fan for as long as I can remember although I probably owe this to my sister who always had great taste in music and introduced to me to losts of things. Despite being a fan I wasn't able to do much about it due to lack of funds as a child and not being allowed to have a stereo to play music on! I started by getting the tapes out of my local library and only in the past 7 years was I actually able to buy them for myself. Actually getting to meet the great man was something I never thought would happen for real. I thought maybe I might be able to get an autograph one day even if it wasn't in person. Right up until the moment Bowie arrived at the Maida Vale studios I still didn't get my hopes up that I would meet him. I have always had the utmost respect for him and expected nothing of him - after all who am I to expect anything from him?

Even now having met him a number of times I worry about seeming to pester him - but he is a gracious man and I am always very aware of giving him space and not turning into a rabid fan who will hound their subject. I would just love to be able to sit and have a chat with him over a cup of coffee or two!
