By now, most people should know that Trainspotting is about Herion addicts. And that is *very* graphic.

Admittly, the main reason I remeber Trainspotting is it was the first movie I really noticed Ewan in. Because of his terrible haircut, it was his acting ability that made me like him. (I still think he looks a *lot* worse with a number 1 haircut, than with long hair. His perfect hairlength is roughly the same length he had in The Phantom Menace.)

The first two scenes that come to my mind, when I think about Trainspotting are the famous loo scene - the one where Ewan's character is dragged into a horrible toliet in a drug-induced hallucination. The second is the one where they find the baby has died, because they've forgetton about it for a couple of days. So it has died of dehrydration, while they were too concerned with herion.

Choose washing machines, cars, compact disc players and electrical tin openers... choose DIY and wondering who the fuck you are on a Sunday morning. Choose sitting on that couch watching mindnumbing, spirit-crushing game shows, stuffing junk food into your mouth. Choose rotting away at the end of it all, pishing your last in a miserable home, nothing more than an embarrassment to the selfish, fucked-up brats you spawned to replace yourself. Choose your future. Choose Life ...
