Can't you hear my voice?
these words that slide from
my tongue 
I try to explain what 
I can not comprehend 
But instead what comes 
forth
Is a piercing sound 
from which you cringe 
I scramble to hold  you
to bring you back 
to heal the traitorous 
lacerations of my verbal 
attack 
But away you slip
into the recesses of
 your fantasies
Shutting me out  so that
our dreams drift 
away on the silence ~~~

An ocean of heartache
Developed from the 
Constant stream of tears 
For the  years wasted 
And love smeared 
On the jagged cliff edges
Of the valley  of despair
For here a society
lives and breathes
The biiter salt of the sea
And the foul smell of the air
As empty souls wash ashore 
With nothing left to share ~~~

There are several
Degrees of pain 
And often when 
Wee plummet 
To the depths
Of pain
We are left   
Empty 
And conjure 
Numbness
as a cocoon

Anger
Its venom pollutes hearts, minds, and souls
Its bitter and  cruel and corrodes  our ability 
to rationalize 

Diabolical is it in its malignancy; it reeks havoc 
Afflicting torment on those within its wrath

Wretched is storm- it will unhinge and 
foil all in its path 
Remorseless for the desolation and destruction 
excreted from its jaws 

It is ruthless with its fury and will manipulate and 
corrupt you leaving you writhing 
Plagued with anguish and mortification 

It is  unprejudice in its savagery  and will mar 
And scathe everyone it touches 

And behind it; it scatters  disquiet, tragedy,
grievance, animosity, melancholy
and vile travesties

How detrimental is love's competitor~~~

A single tear 
Glides down my face 
To rest upon my lip
My tongue darts  out
To cup my salty realm of despair ~~~

Infinite sadness 
Grips  a soul that
Drowns in an ultimate 
Darkness of self-pity
Blacknes swallows 
Cavernous emptiness 
Of a heart 
Tainted by shadows 
Of a past 
That taints a mind 
Closed off from reality 
From the  terror 
That  haunts and tortures 
Hopelessness~~~

Serenity lies somewhere buried in my soul 
And I lioe searching for its peace 
But confusion bounds my mind 
And hurt encompasses my heart 
For all my hopes and dreams have come to part 

My happiness has drifted in the wind with time 
Lost is the tranquility of love 
For  on my journey  deceit and pain I have found 
Leaving only sadened tear-filled eyes 
And  a heart overwhelming with a  bitterness of denial

The road I walk has been previously  trudged 
And many hearts have worn this path-
A rugged path filled with empty holes
Where no rewards can be sought 
Only a painstakingl loneliness that
 invades that invades lost souls 

This path seems to be never ending 
And manipulates those whom are blind
For on this road no light will be seen
There is only a heavy darkness 
For hearts that have closed their eyes ~~~
