The popular beauty, the superjock, the geek. Has the Breakfast Club reconvened? "We felt like nobody was making those good John Hughes teen comedies anymore," says Elfont, who cowrote the screenplay with Kaplan. But instead of detention, this film revolves around a party the last night of high school. "This isn't just a movie about teenagers with nothing on their minds but drinking, sex, and drugs," insists Hewitt, who plays the beauty. "It has some good role models."
