Where were you going
those small feet of mine
you were off and running
before it was time

Little girl lost
so deep inside
needing to be seen yet
wanting to hide

running so fast
it brings tears to my eyes
looking back to the past

It wasn't right
those things that were wrong
by the time you were ten
you sang a sad song

It wasn't your fault
yet you felt all the blame
when the trueth all came out
you felt all the shame

Little feet......little feet
you carried me through
climbing the mountains
over the little rocks too

Well little girl
you can slow down now
you're all grown up
you've made it somehow

Now that you're older
it is'nt as bad
allways look forward
looking back makes you sad
