Kunal and Cyrus team up to launch their first project "Unfaithful"
with Kunal directing and Cyrus acting.
Kunal Vijayakar, ex- creative director-DaCunha Communications goes full time
into television and theatre.
Cyrus, a veteran stage actor who took a break from stage to concentrate
on his career at MTV, spares time to return to the stage.
He makes his debut as director from actor with “Unaithful”.Creative Director of a leading advertising Agency,
he is a familiar face on Television. Most recognised for his performances in TV Commercials like
Sil Jam, Savlon and Rasna and the popular sit-com “Baat Ban Jaye”, some of his performances
on stage include Topsy-Turvy, Alibaba, Charley’s Aunt, Alladin, Rumors, Small Family Business,
Sucessful Life of Three, Powertics, Family Ties II, Roshni and I’m Not Bajirao.
He is a columnist with the Bombay Times.His other writing assignments for television include
“Bombay Times” on Star Plus,
“Toofan Mail” on Sony Televison and “MTV True Lies” on MTV.
The child-prodigy, who at the age of 14, starred in “Brighton Beach Memoirs”
directed by Pearl Padamsee, and was recognised for his role of a drug affected child in
Pankaj Parashar’s film “Jalwa”, is today known for his work with MTV India.
A familiar face on television, Cyrus has made his mark as MTV’s most popular VJ,
with three very successful shows on
air, Made in India, MTV-U and MTV-True Lies.
Also a student of New York’s Lee Strasberg Acting Studio, he has been acting on
the English
stage since 1985. Some of his performances have been seen in productions of American Buffalo,
Godspell, Mischief Mania, Family Ties, Alibaba, Alladin, Rumours, Small Family Business, Suite 009,
After Liverpool, Successful Life of Three, and Family Ties II.
He scripted Family Ties II and scripted and directed a powerful play on sexual abuse-”Powertics”.
He is a broadcaster on FM radio in Bombay
and is a columnist with Mid-day.
