Mike Meros joined Al for this show, while Billy Hinsche was performing with David Marks that night. This was the first show that was neither a "Family & Friends" show (no Carnie or Wendy) or an "All-Star Beach Band" show (no Rip Chords or Surfaris). There was some confusion as to the billing of the show. Ticketmaster called the band "Beach Boys Family & Friends" while the ticket itself said "Founding Beach Boy Al Jardine and the Endless Summer Band", and Al was introduced as "Hall of Fame Inductee Al Jardine".
It is interesting to note that Al's recent single "PT Cruiser" was labeled as "Al Jardine and The Endless Summer Band". Disappointingly, it was not performed. It is also interesting to note that much of the setlist had reverted back to the order of many Beach Boys shows during the '90's. Exceptions are the inclusion of "Runaway" and "Sea Cruise".
