After a number of cancelled shows this year, Al Jardine plays a short set at a benefit concert. Opening acts included Patti Labelle, Jonny Lang, Los Lobos, and Taj Mahal. The headliners were the Doobie Brothers.

Michelle Phillips and Denny Doherty of the Mamas & Papas were featured vocalists, as were John Sebastian of the Lovin' Spoonful, and Mackenzie Phillips (daughter of John Phillips) & Owen Elliott (daughter of Cass Elliott, also a former Beach Boys Family & Friends vocalist). Susan Lang provides a review.
