Steve Preston writes: "This could be called the STACK O TRACKS concert. It was an all day free show at Metropolitan Park. Started at 10:00 am with full length sets by the Platters, the Association, and the Four Tops. The Beach Boys were scheduled to go on at 4:00. But it was 4:45 when they finally did...and when they did....you could NOT hear the vocals. As a matter of fact...unless you were right up front and could hear the on stage monitors....there were NO VOCALS to be heard through the entire concert! Must have been some kind of sound problem. So it was a STACK O TRACKS concert with the audience doing all the singing. The concert never stopped...the problem never was fixed. What a riot! Maybe that's why the extra short set."
