The contributor shares: "The opening acts were the Youngbloods (before they became popular with 'Get Together') and the Luvs, an all-female band who dressed in pastels and bell-bottoms. The Luvs performed 'In the Midnight Hour' and 'Wild Thing.'
Convention Hall was off the Boardwalk at this shore community. The Hall actually sat on a pier over the Atlantic Ocean. I was 16-years-old. It was my first 'real' concert. My Mom took my 14-year-old sister and myself. We had fourth row tickets. I remember calling out for 'Carl' a number of times. When he did look our way, my sister lost it for the rest of the concert.
The band consisted of Mike Love, Carl Wilson, Dennis Wilson, Al Jardine and Bruce Johnston. They wore matching red and white striped shirts and white chinos."
It's interesting to see that Al was singing "You're So Good To Me" at this early date; he would later take the lead on it in the 90's. Also interesting is the medley that mixes ballads and rockers.
