Jeff Mason writes: " My impressions of the show were that it was like looking at what might have been. It was an outdoor show, with thousands of fans there. CCR opened, and a few people got up for the show. For the BB, the stage front was crowded with enthusiastic fans. The crowd was not just older people; there were definitely teens and twentysomething types there. If only the group had managed to patch it up in 1995 and do something relevant, this crowd would have eaten it up. The energy propelled the band instrumentally, but vocally there are problems. Adrian Baker *does* sound more like Frankie Valli than Brian. In addition, Bruce and Mike looked tired and old, Bruce with bags under his eyes and Mike with greying hair. They didn't move much in the show, just paced around. Mike told a lot of corny jokes that IMO bombed, but the crowd ate it up also. A fun time, but like looking at ghosts."
