The contributor comments: " This is another show that circulates on video from a camcorder-shot show. It is an afternoon show celebrating the 200th anniversary of the coast guard. This has to be one of Brian Wilson's last full shows (other than the '96 Fan Fair show) that he performed with the Beach Boys. His participation is akin to shows he performed circa 1979 or 1980. He plays keyboards standing up throughout the show, and only contributes a few lead vocals. This is also one of Jeff Foskett's last shows with the group. He left the band sometime in late '89 or early '90, and rejoined for a short time during the summer of '90 and then was gone. This has to be one of the only shows that featured John Stamos, Matt Jardine, Billy Hinsche, and Jeff Foskett all at the same show. This was appearantly also one of Mike Love's first shows back after having Gerry Beckley fill in for him previously. The setlist is the same as the show a month later in New Jersey except that "Island Girl", "Problem Child", and "Somewhere Near Japan" (all relatively new songs) don't surface at this show. Also, by the time August rolled around, Jeff Foskett was gone and Adrian Baker was back for another stint with the group. It's also interest to note that another video that circulates of Brian Wilson, Bruce Johnston, Jeff Foskett, and John Stamos jamming in a hotel room was shot only two days prior to this show, on 7/2/90. The setlist seems to be fairly abbreviated. The show clocks in at exactly 90 minutes, and that includes the walk-off time before the encore and Mike Love's rambling in between songs. It's very possible they played another show elsewhere in the country later in the day, as they often have done on the Fourth of July. Some rarities pop up at this show, including "California Saga: California" (with Al on lead as opposed to Mike), and Bruce's rendition of "Please Let Me Wonder.""
