Contributor Alex Knoll writes: "Just few days before, a punk festival was held at the same venue, and aferwards some hundred punkers went beserk in the city and broke windows etc, so the security and police was more than usual....but it was very funny, because first of all at this afternoon of course a whole different group of fans was there, and it was so hot, all we could do was to rest until the sun went down and the boys came on....very unfortunate for the supporting acts :-)))) Supporting acts were (like in Dinkelsbuehl some days before) The Little River Band, Manfred Mann's Earthband and The Allman Brothers. And, as a local special, a female heavy metal band, believe it or not. "The Strange Girls", or something like that. While the supporting actis did well, most people didn't care about them. As the Allman Brothers performed, the guitar and drum solos (two drummers) went longer and longer, and the crowd kept looking at their watches more and more. What a night! ."
