The contributor noted that "Kokomo" had a lukewarm reception, and also wrote: "Before resuming [with the car medley], Mike introduces Jeff [Foskett] as the most underappreciated man in show business. He tells the crowd what a great guitar player Jeff is, and persuades him to do some Hendrix. Jeff obliges by playing several bars of The Wind Cries Mary, with the drum and bass joining in. Mike then asks for one of the hits, and Jeff obliges again by playing several bars of Purple Haze, with the drum and bass joining in again. There were no vocals for either tune. The show then resumes with the car medley."
