The Hard Workin' Drummer Dennis Wilson
1944-1983Of the original five Beach Boys, Dennis Wilson was the only one who knew how to surf well. Dennis was definitely the most popular member of the band during the '60's, especially among the young female fans. Unfortunately, Dennis had problems with drugs and alcohol, which lead to the downward spiral in his life which ended with his accidental drowning while intoxicated in December of 1983. Dennis contributed numerous lead vocals over the years, including "Do You Wanna Dance", "Little Bird", "Love Surrounds Me", "Surfers Rule", and "Angel Come Home", among many others. His highly unknown album "Pacific Ocean Blue" from 1977 (pictured below) has become somewhat of a cult classic over the years.
