New Character and Troop Types. |
Here are some of the new troops, vehicles and characters that we are using in our own campaign at the moment. Please feel free to use what ever you wish too, but only use them if your opponent agrees with you. All these rules are unofficial and should not be confused with any official rules from Games Workshop. To use these new troops you will need access to Warhammer 40,000 3rd Edition and Codex: Dark Eldar. Any comments on these optional rules can be addressed to me at the following gamers.web@virgin.net
Look out for more rules soon as this site is still under construction.

SPECIAL RULES. Soul Scythe: The Soul Scythe is an awesome weapon of ancient design with the following profile. Range: 24" Strength 6 AP 3 Assault 5 The Soul Scythe is a Powerweapon and can be used in close combat to attack multiple opponents. The Soul Scythe can be used to cut a swathe in opponents allowing the Soul Hunter to attack up to three models at once. The Soul Scythe will always go last in combat due to it's sheer size, even against Powerfists. Any wounds caused in close combat with the Soul Scythe will automatically kill the opponent if it fails it's armour save, regardless of wounds left. Soul Seeker Ammo: Soul Seeker ammo. See page 15 of the Dark Eldar Codex for details. Independent Character. Each Soulhunter is an Independent Character and follows the Independent Character rules as detailed in Warhammer 40,000 rule book. Soulhunters may never join squads at anytime. However squads within 12" of the Soulhunter may use it's LD when making checks. Infiltrator: The Soulhunter is an infiltrator and follows the rules for Infiltration set out in the Warhammer 40,000 rule book. A Soulhunter can not be played in scenarios that do not allow Infiltrators.
Fearless: Soulhunters are awesome in combat and fear nothing. As such they never need to take a morale check. |
Even among the Dark Eldar there are those who are best not spoken of to loudly. On the battlefields they can often be seen bent over the dying foes of the Dark Eldar, doing the task that they do best, collecting souls. The Soul Hunters dress in garb as black as night and utilise some of the most secret technology of the Dark Eldar in battle. Armed with the Soul Scythe they are just a deadly at long range as they in close combat. No one knows where they come from or who they report too, but it is rumoured that they are made up from the elite of the various cults and Kabal's and that refusal to join the ranks of the few Soul Hunters will lead to a fate worse than death.

Berserk: Due to the drugs the Berserkers are in a constant state of madness that drives them forward without remorse. Berserkers must always advance to the nearest enemy and may move up to 6" in the assault phase, even if they are out of range of the nearest enemy unit. Berserkers ignore any fall back results during the Assault phase and will always advance and never consolidate. |
During their raids on the myriad of planets in the galaxy, the Dark Eldar capture slaves to use for many vile reasons. Among these slaves are Squats taken centuries ago from their Hearthworlds and broken. These poor souls now live only to serve their Dark Eldar masters. Any Squat force that fights against a Dark Eldar army containing Squat Berserkers gets a +1 to it's Attacks against all Dark Eldar for that battle.

Squad: The squad consists of between 10 and 20 models led by a Dark Eldar Sybarite. The squad can be made up from any non Dark Eldar models at hand, but uses the above profile no matter what the model is.
Weapons: Splinter pistols, knives, clubs.
Options: The Sybarite is armed with a Splinter Rifle and may upgrade this to a Dark Lance or Splinter Cannon for +10pts. The Sybarite may be armed with plasma grenades at a cost of +2pts each.
SPECIAL RULES Stupid. The Slaves are mere shadows of their former selves. Some where once proud Space Marines or noble Imperial Guardsmen, now they are just empty mindless drones who know nothing but service to their Dark Eldar masters. Any squad of Slaves must be accompanied by a Dark Eldar Sybarite who acts as its leader. If the Sybarite is killed the Slave squad must past a LD check each turn to move in the movement phase, or stand still, they can however move in the Assault phase without taking a check. Any morale checks that need to be taken are done so using the Sybarites LD profile. |
During their many raids, the Dark Eldar capture many foes which they bring back to Commorragh and use for a wide variety of needs. One of these tasks is to act as a shield for their own advancing troops. Drained of any freewill that they once have possessed, and now nothing more than automatons, the slaves advance mindlessly into the path of oncoming enemy fire. The only thing that keeps them moving is the Sybarite that leads them.
