Butter Cake Made Easy

In mixing bowl cream butter and then sugar together until fluffy.Keep beating and add egg yolks and vanilla.Sift flour baking powder and salt together. While beating egg mix add flour mixture and milk alternating 1/4 at a time. Beat egg whites until stiff (forms good peaks). Fold egg whites into batter and bake at 350 deg. 13"x9" pan 40 minutes..........

1 Cup butter 2 C. sugar.. 4 eggs separated 1 tsp. vanilla 3 C. cake flour 3 tsp.baking powder....... 1/2 salt..... 1 C. milk

My Butter tarts are simple but good....

Cream 1/3 cups of Real butter with 1 cup a of brown sugar. When creamed well together add 2 Tablespoons of cream (not milk) 1 egg and 1/2 tsp. of vanilla. Mix well. 1/2 of walnuts and 1/2 cup of raisons can to added to the mix at this time or place on the bottom of each tart shells (for even distribution of the nuts and raisons). Spoon mixture into each tart shell about 3/4's full. Makes about 12 butter tarts bake at 350 deg. for 20-30 min.
