After the success of our handball page, it was decided that we should move it to a more suitable address. Tripod.com doesn't automatically spring to mind when one thinks of handball in NUI Galway!!
During the Summer months, the University Computer Society acquired it's very own server. As well as running a BBS and giving all it's members email access at all times, the server also hosts web pages for it's members.
The Computer Soc. has started an initiative to get as many of the Colleges clubs and societies onto the site as possible, thus giving student.nuigalway.ie which will hopefully mean that, in time, people will autmatically look at the site for info on any club or society.
The Handball club homepage had been noticed at the end of last year and we were invited to move our page onto the new server, as a test. And there ya have it. That's why things are a bit in the air at the moment. :-)
