This is total and complete sap. I had to write it. It was making me insane. Enjoy the sugary sweetness! Happy whatever-there-is-to- celebrate today! Rating:I'll have to think about that one... And you thought I couldn't do a straight one! Slide Could you whisper in my ear The things you wanna feel I'll give you anything to feel it coming. Do you wake up on your own And wonder where you are You live with all your faults... I wanna wake up where you are I won't say anything at all So why don't you slide? Yeah, we're gonna let it slide. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mulder sat in his motel room. He sat there alone. He sat there alone and slightly toasted. He sat there alone, toasted, and lonely. Do you know who he was lonely for? His lovely and equally alone partner. Mulder wanted more than he would *ever* admit to himself that he wanted the Enigmatic Dr. Scully to become a lot less enigmatic and a lot more bold. As a matter of fact, he wanted her to come to his door and throw him down onto the bed and show him just how bold she really was. He knew he'd never make the first move. Too much of a chicken. And he wondered why this small redhead attracted him so much. She definitely was not his type. He usually went after tall, leggy brunettes. His last wife was a tall, leggy brunette. But, for some reason, the short, albeit leggy, Titian haired woman had wrapped herself around his heart. All she had to do was whisper in his ear. Hold out her hand and he'd be there. But she was stubborn. She had her array of faults just like he did. But one tends to put Our Lady Dana Scully on a pedestal. And all he really wanted was for her to slide into his room. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Do you wake up on your own And wonder where you are You live with all your faults... Don't you love the life you killed? Your priest is on the phone Your father hit the wall Your mom disowned you... I wanna wake up where you are I won't say anyhthing at all So why don't you slide? Yeah we're gonna let it slide... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Scully sat in her motel room. She sat there alone. She sat there alone and slightly toasted. She sat there alone, toasted and lonely. Do you know who she was lonely for? Her handsome and equally alone partner. She sat there and wondered if he was asleep. How night after night he woke up alone and angst-ridden in the Fox Mulder tradition. It was a trait, no...let's be honest and serious fault and flaw that was, nevertheless endearing in the extreme. She lived with it every day just as he did. She wondered about his life. His past. She knew he hadn't had a happy childhood after his sister was abducted. That was the defining moment in his life. It had turned wife against husband, parents against child. And the thing she wanted most was to wipe it all away. She tried a little harder than he did. But, he pushed her away. And in the end, she began to push him away. And if he decided to come into her room, into her heart once again, she wouldn't say a word. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ And I'll do anything you ever Dreamed to be complete Little pieces of the nothing that fall... Oh, man. Put your arms around me ('cause) What you feel is what you are And what you are is beautiful Do you wanna get married? Or run away? I wanna wake up where you are I won't say anything at all So why don't you slide? Why don't you slide into my room? Just slide into my room. And we'll run away, run away, run away... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ They sat in their motel rooms. They sat there alone. They sat there alone and *slightly* toasted. They sat there alone, toasted and lonely. And do you know who they were lonely for? Each other. And they came to a decision. That if they waited on somebody to make the first move, it would never get done. So each in their own mind decided to make the first move. And they bumped heads when they ran into each other in the hallway. "Ouch" "Ouch" That out of the way, it came down to the inevitable (but not for them!) question: Your room or mine? And they decided to go to her room as it was the neater of the two. And a toasted flinging of clothes ensued. And they toastedly collasped on the bed. And they toastedly did it (tee hee hee!). And neither one noticed that the other was toasted. And the toastedness wore off. And they soberly lay there contemplating what to do next. Now, the inevitable (but not for them!) question came up when two people decide they love each other and decide they want to be together all the time. And the question was: Marriage or run away? And they decided to run away together because the marriage thing would never work out. Hee. :) And they lived happily (if 'in sin') ever after. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ha! It wasn't all sugary, sacharrine, so-sweet-I'll-need-insulin-after -I-read-this, sap, now was it? I had you. I had you big time. Heh, heh, heh.
