(ADVENTURE) You are John R. Blade. The CEO of SinTek has been injecting the streets of Freeport with a DNA-altering drug and plans on taking over the world with her army of mutants. As Blade, you've got to put a stop to it. That's the gist of Activision's new first-person action shooter. But the fun comes even faster when the adventure-based gameplay gets to you. The story does not just plod along from one mission to the next. In Sin, the choices you make on one level affect the difficulties you face on other levels. Events do not occur in the same linear fashion that most first-person shooters rely upon. Here, players will have to make choices about which route they'll take to victory and interact in realistic terms with the other bystanders around. Lab technicians might not hurt you, but they can sound the alarm to bring more guards. With highly-detailed in and outdoor environments through 24 levels of six missions (including levels designed by the Levelord himself), Sin is advancing the intensity in the action/adventure shooter genre. By far SiN promises to be the most highly commendable projects of the year.
