Barry Manilow recorded "If Tomorrow Never Comes" for his The Complete Collection

No Fences (released on 8/27/90)
Became the biggest selling country album of all time,
with sales as of 10/95 in excess of 13 million (domestic).
*Certified 7 times platinum in Ireland, sextuple platinum in Canada,
platinum in Australia; gold in the U.K.

1991
Ropin' The Wind (released on 9/2/91)
Made Billboard history on September 28, 1991, as the first album to
enter the Billboard Top 200 chart and Billboard Country Chart at #1.
It became the second biggest selling country album of all time
with sales as of 10/95 in excess of 11 million (domestic).
Certified triple platinum in Ireland, quadruple platinum in Canada
and gold in Australia and New Zealand. By the end of 1991 Garth Brooks'
overall record sales accounted for one fourth of country music's sales during the year.

1992
Beyond The Season (released 8/25/92)
Garth's first Christmas album.
Sales have raised over 2 million dollars for Feed The Children.

1992
The Chase (released 9/22/92)
Daughter Taylor Mayne Pearl born July 8.
The Chase became the second album in music history to enter both
the Billboard Top 200 and Country charts at #1. Domestic sales in
excess of 6 million as of 10/95.
Certified quadruple platinum in Canada and platinum in Ireland.
This is Garth Brooks NBC television special aired on Jan 17.
The 9th highest rated show of the week, it became NBC's best
performance in the time period since 1987, and the highest
rated one hour music special of the season.

OF NOTE: Garth Brooks and Stephanie Davis wrote "We Shall Be Free"
as a result of Garth's being in Los Angeles during the 1992 riots.
The song, a testimony to brotherhood and tolerance, inspired
a video featuring cameo appearances by: Paula Abdul, Burt Bacharach,
Harry Belafonte, Michael Bolton, John Elway, Boomer Esiason,
Whoopi Goldberg, Amy Grant, Julio Iglesias, Bernie Kosar, Jay Leno,
Marlee Matlin, Reba McEntire, Warren Moon, Eddie Murphy,
Martina Navratilova, Craig T. Nelson, General Colin Powell, Michael W. Smith,
Patrick Swayze, Elizabeth Taylor, Lily Tomlin and Kristi Yamaguchi.
In addition to the celebrity appearances, the video consisted of
news footage depicting social, political and environmental problems,
counteracted by scenes expressing hope in humanity's ability
to cope with them. The video was directed NBC's Tim Miller.

1993
In Pieces (released 8/31/93)
Became the third album to enter Billboard's Top 200 and Country
charts at #1.
The debut single, "Ain't Going Down (‘Til The Sun Comes Up)"
(written by Garth Brooks, Kim Williams and Kent Blazy), made
Radio & Records history by entering the country singles charts
at #25, with 222 stations adding the song out-of-the-box.
For his cut of "Callin' Baton Rouge," Garth reunited New Grass
Revival, the band that first recorded the song.
Garth performed the National Anthem live in Los Angeles
at Super Bowl ‘93 to a television audience of over 1 billion people
in over 87 countries.

1994
The Garth Brooks Collection (released 9/2/94)
This album was compiled for McDonald's first music promotion, which
benefited Ronald McDonald Children Charities (RMCC).
The album was sold for a limited time in McDonald's restaurants,
and RMCC received one dollar from each sale. Garth's total sales
were 4 million. The album contained tracks from his previous albums.
Tina Turner, Elton John and Roxette also participated in the program.

1994
The Hits (released 12/13/94)
Has gone 8x platinum in Ireland, Diamond in Canada and is gold in
the U.K.
Daughter August Anna born on May 3.
The Garth Brooks' 1994 World Tour traveled to 13 countries and
played to over a quarter million fans outside the U.S. In Barcelona,
the crowds paid him their highest compliment, screaming "Torrero," or matador.
In Ireland, the press reported that not even Springsteen, U2 or
Bob Dylan had ever sold tickets so quickly. *Performed a sold-out show
at the Hollywood Bowl with the Hollywood Orchestra benefiting "One Voice."
The show sold out in 21 minutes, with Hollywood Bowl Special Events
manager Mark Ferber noting, "I can't remember, since the Beatles,
a longer box office line than for Garth Brooks."

1995
Fresh Horses (release date: 11/21/95)
Garth wrote eight of the ten songs on Fresh Horses.
The debut single, "She's Every Woman," entered R&R's charts at #13,
setting a new chart record for the trade publication. The song subsequently hit #1.
The second single is "The Fever," an Aerosmith song reworked
into a rockin' rodeo release.
Garth is now the only male artist in RIAA history to have
two solo albums top the 10 million mark (domestic sales).
He is the fastest selling album artist in RIAA history, with domestic
sales in excess of 54 million. His sales make him the fourth highest
selling artist in RIAA history.

Garth received the Academy of Country Music's Jim Reeves Memorial
Award, the first to be presented in thirteen years. Named for the
legendary Reeves, who 35 years ago pioneered international country
markets, the award is only given when the ACM recognizes an artist
who has uniquely promoted and enhanced the image of country music internationally.

He received a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.

Garth was honored for 50-plus million in sales at EMI Manufacturing
(USA) in Jacksonville, Illinois, on March 10. The year also
marks the Jacksonville plant's 30th anniversary. The Jacksonville
facility is the only EMI manufacturing plant in the continental U.S.

The Garth Brooks Fresh Horses World Tour kicked off in Atlanta,
March ‘96. It will last three years.
