A woman called police when she discovered an upside down turtle on her front lawn at 11 a.m. June 1. The officer told her to turn the turtle right side up. She did but called back to report the turtle had no arms, legs or a head. The officer told her not to worry, and the turtle fled in an unknown direction before police arrived.

A man wearing a sweatshirt with the hood pulled tightly over his head and a mask covering all but his eyes pounded on the front door of the Security Federal Savings Bank scaring the employees inside. After several attempts to push open the door he fled. It was a "pull" open door.

Officials at the Pickaway Correctional Institute in Ohio stopped two cars that drove into a restricted area. After running a check on the license plates and learning both cars were stolen, they arrested the two men and the two young girls who turned out to be runaways. According to authorities the two men had driven onto the grounds to show the two girls where they had once spent time.

A young man, 19, broke into a glue factory in Belo Horizonte, Brazil and began sniffing the glue he was stealing. In the process of being overcome by the fumes and collapsing he upset a large tank of glue. When he finally came to he found himself stuck to the floor and couldn't free himself. He lay there for 36 hours before firefighters were able to cut him loose.

A man walked into a liquor store with a shotgun and demanded all the money from the cash register. While the cashier was putting the money in a bag the crook noticed a bottle of scotch on a shelf behind the counter that he wanted. He told the cashier to put it in the sack too.The clerk refused saying "I don't believe you're over 21. I'll have to see some ID before I give it to you." Like any smart crook he handed over his driver's license which the clerk looked over carefully, then handed it, the sack with the money and the scotch back to the crook. As soon as the crook left, the clerk called the cops with the name and address and they were waiting for him when he came home.
