A very good place to download Greek fonts and get good instructions for what exactly do you need for any platform, i.e. Macintosh, MS Windows 3.1x, Windows95 and NT or Unix, is the Hellenic Resource Information Network.

If you are using a Macintosh computer

• If you are outside Greece you can download the complete Mac-ELOT928 package which includes Greek TrueType Fonts (PC-type Times Roman font for Windows users) from either
  the Hellenic Resource (HR)-Net server or alternatively you can try
  the Greek ftp site

• Also you can try a set of converted true type fonts originally created for Windows by Poyliadis Associates (HellasFun, HellasTimes which are based on the GrTimes and GrHelvetica Greek TrueType Fonts).

If you are using the Microsoft Internet Explorer go to View/Options and select:

• Proportional Font : One of the ELOT928aGrTim/HellasElot928 Greek fonts
• Fixed-width Font : One of the ELOT928aGrTim/HellasElot928 Greek Font

If you are using a IBM PC or compatible computer

You may select (in zipped formats) from the following font families with Greek character set support:

From the Hellas-On-Line Server
• Arial Greek TrueType Font (160 Kb)
• Times New Roman Greek TrueType Font (194 Kb)
• Courier New Greek TrueType Font (215 Kb)
• All above fonts plus Terminal Greek TrueType Font (581 Kb). This font is compatible with terminal programs and bulletin board services that use the old 437 (737) code.
