BCBS Year of '71

I971, was probably the time when Bangalore changed from the laid back, charming, town reminiscent of the Raj to the bustling Metropolis with inadequate infrastructure of today. Bishop Cotton Boy's School was also going through changes, Rev. I. L. Thomas our Warden had retired and Dr. A. T. Balraj the first Indian to do so had taken over. To our generation Rev. Thomas had been a source of inspiration and was a role model who had shaped our values. Ever since I joined the boys school in 1964 he had been regarded with respect and awe by all those of my acquaintance. Here are a few vignettes of those times.
