Colors can have a dramatic affect on us and most of us don't even realize it. There is a certain prison that, ordered by the new warden, had all the cells painted a bubble gum pink. This was found to bring a heavy relaxed feeling in studies. In turn, it is said that there was a difference, a better one, in the prisoner's attitudes and behaviors after doing this.

Find which colors do what for you. I love a soft, light lilac. This is my favorite.

Also, different pictures can have a wonderful affect on our spirits. Sceneries, seashores, mountains, fields of illustrious colored wild flowers, or even a deep, mysterious sunset with it's fire and vibrancy still piercing through the overcoming darkness.

Save those calanders that you get from the bank. I have found the most beautiful pictures in those. Even cute little animals can stir the love in your heart. I save all my calenders for the pictures. Each picture can do something different to your mood. Rely on your own memories from places you've visited before. This is an instant pick me up. This way you don't have to carry your calenders around with you!
