With the bases loaded and 1 out, Andruw Jones had a 3-1 count from Kenny Rogers. After a very
generous called strike 2, Rogers' 3-2 changeup fluttered outside for ball 4, forcing in Gerald
Williams as the winning run, and sending the Braves back to the show. The Braves blew a 5-0 and
7-3 lead earlier in the game, only to comeback against John Franco in the eighth while trailing
8-7 and against Armando Benitez while trailing 9-8 in the tenth. Eddie Perez was named the NLCS
Most Valuable Player, as he went 10x20 with 2 HRs and 5 RBIs in the series. Next up is the Yankees
in a rematch of the 1996 World Series. Tom Glavine will face Orlando Hernandez in game 1 in
Atlanta on Saturday. Congrats all around to the team!
