The FanFiction Pages

Hi and welcome to the Baseball FanFiction Page!

I hope to have a bunch of pieces of fiction linked below. The first one will be a short story I wrote with Alex Gonzalez as the main character. The rest of the stories are going to depend on you, the baseball fan.

Do you have a favorite baseball player? It doesn't matter what team he is on.

Do you like to write fiction?

Do you think you could write a story with your favorite player (or players, as the case may be) as the main character(s)?

If you answered yes to any or all of those questions, let me ask you this one: If you wrote a story about your favorite ball player, would you like to see it published on the Internet?

If you answered yes to that one, then get writing because I want to publish your baseball fanfics right here on my page! Your story will have it's own separate page and you will be clearly credited as the author of the story.

How cool does that sound?!

FANFIC GUIDELINES, RULES ETC.

I hate to give you writing guidelines and stuff like that, but we can't go overboard with what we write. I don't have all that much room at Tripod to put huge stories. Don't worry, I'm not telling you what to write (always hated when someone did that to me!)

1. Make sure the story is no more than 7 pages of looseleaf (using both sides [if you want] and writing single-spaced) if you can. If it's shorter, great. If it's a little longer, that's okay too, but I'd really rather it wasn't.

2. The main character of the story has to be a major league baseball player. You can use ball players as minor characters too, like I've done.

3. When you are finished with your story, get someone to proofread it, because, unfortunately, I don't have the time to be an editor (it's a long story...I've got a lot of prior committments that must be carried out) and we would both hate to have your story published with mistakes or errors that you didn't intend to have there.

4. After you are sure your story is perfect, just the way you like it, give it an appropriate title and email it to me with "Story" or "FanFic" written in the subject header, so I know what you're sending me.

5. Once I get your story, if I have time, I'll copy and paste it to it's own page the same day I receive it. If I don't have time, I will get your page made as soon as I have a few minutes. When I get your page made, I'll email you telling you it's up.

That's not too hard, I hope? I really look forward to reading your fanfics and I hope you enjoy reading the fanfics of other fellow baseball fans! Have fun!

THE STORIES:

"The Secret of the Heavy Bat" by Rebecca the Webmistress (coming shortly!)

NOTE: In your stories, you do not have to stay with the-way-things-really-are if you don't want to. For example, in real life, Alex has an older sister named Donna. In my story, he has a younger sister named Ceara. The point is, it's fiction. It does not matter.
