Welcome this will be a page of places my husband & I have seen.He has since passed away & I won`t be doing anymore traveling. This keeps me busy at 80,81,82,83yrs 84yrs old (where did the years go) it`s a nice hobby and sure make the time go by.

CATALAC MT

This ia a picture of Catalac Mt in Acadia Nat Park up in Maine we made a trip up there in late Sept.the leaves were in all their glory the colors were just beautiful.

BOULDER

This is the entrance to Boulder Colorado off rte 70 our son & his family lived there they now live farther south in Col.he would take us up in the high country & almost scare the pants off us driving on some of those roads.

LONELY MT ROAD

We were on this road in Colorado,You pass very few cars & at times you feel like we are the only 2 people in the world I don`t know what we would of done if we had car trouble but our luck held out.

Balance Rock

This is Balance Rock in the Garden Of The God in Colorado

MESA VERDE

This is a cliff dwelling where the early Indians lived.You have a long hike down then you have to climb ladders up to view the dwellings.

MONUMENT VALLEY

This is where a lot of movies were made & at the far east side you can touch 4 states Utah,Colorado,Arizona & New Mexico.

Train To Silverton

Once a small mining town now a tourist attraction you ride a narrow gage train that travels half way up the side of the mountain the best time to go is in the Fall when the leaves are changing to gold

Million Dollar Highway

After you ride the train on the side of the mt.to Silverton & back then drive the Million Dollar Highway from Durango,Silverton to Ouray.It`s something you won`t forget we never went back but it`s something we`ll always remember.

MT RUSHMORE

On one of our trips out west we went over rte 90 thru North & South Dakota where we visit Mt Rushmore the Black Hills & the Custer Battlefield & the Badlands where we came across a herd of Bison lucky for us there was a car ahead of us & we seen that they got by ok so we took a chance & once past them we didn`t waste any time getting out of there.

Entrance to Mammoth Cave

On another trip we went thru Kentucky & went thru the Mammoth caves something worth seeing at one section it`s a hike 4 mile in & 4 miles out.

INSIDE MAMMOTH CAVE

Lake Lethe

Lake Lethe near Echo River is one of the unique features of Mammoth Cave. A section of the lake is skirted by a wooden bridge.

Ruins Of Karnak

Erosive action of water has carved these massive limestone columns which tower 80 feet above the cavern floor.This feature was named for the ancient Temple of Karnak on the Nile in Egypt

The Rotunda

This Mammoth Cavern Room,140 ft below the surface has a circular ceiling giving it the "Rotunda"effect.The work of nature created many wonders including this large room measuring 142 feet wide and 40 ft high.

Mammoth Cave Mummy

This Munny of an Adena Indian miner was discover in the Mammoth Cave in 1935.Radioactive Carbon 14 test indicate that he lived 500 B.C.

Sight-Seeing Cruiser

During the Summer season,sightseeing tours are offered on the Green River.Geological formations and species of wild life are among the attractions of the river cruise.
