This is an early pic from when Rosendo was laying out the details of his engine bay. Note that he was able to use a conventional small block Chevy rather than a LT-1 or LS1 due to the fact that he removed his conventional rear-mounted distributor and replaced it with a distributorless ignition system (seen sitting behind the blower). Using this set-up allows using an extremely powerful roots blown version of the "old-school" small block Chevy in the 3rd gen RX-7, using our fabricated V-8 subframe designed for the LT-1, without requiring the otherwise necessary firewall surgery for distributor clearance.
