Here's something I came up with that's too good to
just post on your GROWN
page. Maybe you can find a place for it somewhere else on the
site:
We've all played the anagram game, in which we rearrange
the letters of a name or a phrase to create a new phrase that
has an interesting relationship to the original one. But did you
know that the letters of Wayne Fontes' name can be rearranged
to form a large number of very significant phrases?
For example, the letters in "Wayne Fontes"
can also be used to spell out "Wee
fat sonny" or "See
two fanny." Get the idea?
If you took a photo of a GROWN member during third
quarter of the San Diego game, the caption might read: "Yow!
Tense fan." In fact, our motto could
be "We no fans yet!"
or "Yes, we not fan!"
(Or "Yes, we non-fat.")
If things continue the way they're going, you could take a group
photo of all the Wayne Fontes supporters and caption it: "Yo!
We ten fans."
And why not? The way Fontes has the Lions playing, the games could best be described as "One Yawn Fest!" Anagrams of his name yield a couple of comments on his coaching decisions, such as "No new safety" and "A few sent yon."
Wayne calls himself the "big buck," but we'd prefer to say, "Set ye on fawn" and ride out of town! Because the members of grown are a "New nasty foe" of Mr. Fontes. But rather than being totally negative, let's just say "Yes to new fan!"

anagrams came from, just point your browser at http://www.wordsmith.org/awad-cgibin/anagram
