My Loyal Friend Lady Died October 16, 2008.
I will forever miss her.


The Saint Bernard dog is named after Bernard de Menthon, a Roman Catholic saint. The image of a Saint Bernard for most people is a brandy cask carrying dog that rescues stranded travelers in the Alps. The Saint Bernard is also known for its keen sense of smell. Our eleven year old Saint Bernard, Lady Guinevere, definitely has this characteristic. Whenever anything new is brought in to our home, Lady immediately sniffs it out, and gives it a gentle lick.
