Supporting Actors and Actresses
New Information as of 7-18-99
Vernon
Dent
Vernon Dent was in More
Three Stooges episodes than any other supporting character. He
was in 56 films, not including any remakes. Veron Dent had no
real trademark role. He played just about every type of person
possible, from a cop to a chef. There was no character Dent could
not play. He played roles both supporting and opposing the
stooges. He was in stooges episodes from 1936-1954. He was born
in 1895 and died in 1963.
Bud Jamison
Bud was in the second-most number of stooges episodes, totaling 50, not including remakes. He usually played roles related to police officers or butlers (or, in other words, characters out to get the stooges). Jamison was part of the stooges' era from the very beginning. In "Woman Haters", the stooges first film with Columbia, he was the first character to appear. He was in stooge episodes from 1934-1944, when he died suddenly at the age of 50. He was born in 1894.
***
Jamison and Dent were basically the trademark supporting actors. Combined they were in every 1.79 episodes. That is a statement right there. And remember, it doesn't inculde remakes. When you remember the stooges, remember Dent and Jamison as well.

Christine Mcintyre
McIntyre was probably the most well-known female supporting actress. She usually played a role in which the stooges fell for here and fell in love, and pampered greatly. However, most people don't notice the fact that McIntyre was only in a few Curly films. She was, however, in tons of Shemp's. She was in a total of 22 films, plus remakes. She was in stooges films from 1944-1950. She was born in 1911 and died in 1984.
Emil Sitka
Sitka had probably the most recognizable voices of any of the supporting actors. His first film with the stooges was "Half-Wits Holiday", which was Curly's last. Sitka usually was bonked, kicked, or in some way hurt in almost every one of the films he was in. He was basically the guinea pig. He was in stooge films from 1947-1965. He was in 32, plus remakes. He was born in 1915 and died in 1998.
