The phone rang,waking Rebecca up.

"Hello?"

"Babe,you still asleep?"

"Not now."

"Oh,I'm sorry. I jsut wanted to let you know that Bryan is throwing a huge New Years party tommorrow nite. Can you come?"

"Are you going?"

"Yeah."

"Then I'll come. But hey,is Kailey gonna be there?"

"No,I told Bryan to not invite her."

"Ok,I'll talk to you later."

"Bye." Just as she hung up the phone rang again.

"Hello?"

"Hey Rebecca!"Katherine greeted.

"Hey!"

"You going to Bryan's party?"

"Yeah,Zac just called."

"Cool. OH! I have to tell you about the dance last nite!"

"Ok,go ahead. What happened with you and Tay?"

"He was so amazing! First of all he brought me roses,then we danced the whole time and he kept on telling me how pretty i looked. Then as we were walking home,he kissed me!"

"Omigosh! That's great Kat! Are you going out with him again? On a date?"

"Yeah,we're going to Bryan's party together!"

"That's wonderful!"

"Oh,are Amy and Ike together still?"

"They've only been together for a year dufus!"

"Sorry. How'd you know that? You just got back."

"Me and Amy wrote each other some."

"Oh ok. Well,you wanna go shopping or something?"

"Sure."

"We need dresses for the party is what Bryan said."

"Ok,i'll be ready in 20 minutes."

"Bye."

"Bye." Twenty minutes later,Rebecca and Katherine were walking to the mall. They went into Express first.

"Look who's over there,"Katherine whispered. Rebecca looked in the corner and saw Kailey.

"Oh it's little miss I'm-gonna-steal-you're-boyfriend-because-I'm-a-slut."

"You are harsh on her Rebecca."

"Well I'm sorry. But what she did to me was harsh."

"She's over him now though. She's going with Adam."

"She never really liked him,she just wanted him because of who he is,what he looks like,and he has money."

"Yeah,I know. She's just like that."

"Ok,enough of this. Let's buy something." They searched through the racks.

"Kat,check this out!" Rebecca was holding a short black tube dress that had a Chinese dragon made of silver things on the front.

"It looks just like you! Go try it on." Rebecca bought that,and Kailey got a short red spagehtti strap dress. Later that night,Rebecca walked over to Zac's.

"Is anyone else here?"Rebecca asked as they were watching a movie.

"No,that's why I invited you over." He kissed her neck and started to take her shirt off.

"Let's go upstairs,"she whispered,breathing hard. He carried her up the stairs,not breaking his kiss. As he laid her on the floor she kissed him deeper and longer. Quickly she took his shirt off,as he did the same to her.

"Rebecca please?"

"Please what?"

"You know what I want. Just touch me."

"Zac..."she started. Getting tired of arguing about it,he grabbed her hand and put it between his legs. He expected her to pull away,but instead she just kissed him harder and deeper. She felt something tug on her cords,she looked down to see that Zac was trying to take her pants off.

"Zac,no."

"Why not?"

"Because,you know how I am. If I let you do that,then I'd let you do something else,and then we'd end up doing something stupid."

"So,is that a bad thing?"

"Zac you know I'm not ready."

"I know,I'm sorry." He rolled over beside her,and she laid her head on his chest,listening to his racing heart beat. After a few minutes,the phone rang.

"Don't get it Rebecca." She got up and answered the Hansons' phone.

"Oh,hey Mom. Yeah,we're watching a movie. Uh huh. Yes I have something to wear for the party. Zac is going with me. 30 minutes? Ok,ok. I'll be home in 30 minutes. Bye."

"You're mom?"

"Yeah,it's a good thing I answered the phone. I have to go home in 30 minutes."

"I don't want you to leave."

"Do you remember when we used to stay at each other's houses all nite?"

"Yeah,but I doubt we could do that now."

"Oh well,you're probably right. Ike and Amy are home,I just saw them pull up." The two of them got dressed and then walked downstairs.

"Amy!" Rebecca screamed,she hadn't seen her since she got home.

"Rebecca! My God,you've grown up!"

"Well,I was like 6 when I left."

"You're 13 now,right?"

"Almost."

"Hey,were you two watching this movie?"Ike asked.

"Uhm,we were,we got kinda distracted,"Zac said.

"And by distracted you mean?"

"Oh shut up!" Ike threw a pillow,meant to hit Zac,but instead it hit Amy.

"I'm so sorry Babe." She picked it up and threw it at him,but hit Rebecca. Before long,all four were in a pillow fight.

"Shit! What time is it?"

"10:30,"Amy said.

"I gotta go guys. Bye Zac,"they kissed quickly,"I love you."

"I love you too. Bye."

***********************************The Next Nite****************************

Rebecca walked across the street,and met Zac,Tay,Katherine,Ike,and Amy on the Hanson porch.

"You look great,"Zac whispered in her ear.

"Thanks,so do you." She kissed him on the lips once. They all got in Ike's car and they were off. In 15 minutes,they were at Bryan's. They walked inside and there was people everywhere. Zac immediatly pulled Rebecca onto the dance floor.

"Guess what?"he whispered holding her tight.

"What?"

"You know how we were suppose to leave to finish recording in a week?"

"Well,we're gonna record the rest of it in Tulsa!"

"Omigosh Zac,that's wonderful!!!" She laid her head on his shoulder and softly kissed his neck.

"And,we don't start recording for another 3 weeks!"

"Omigosh,I can't beleive it."

"I know. Now I get to spend more time with you." After a few more songs,Zac went outside to talk to soem of his friends,and Rebecca was sitting on the couch.

"Where did Romeo go?"Bryan asked sitting beside her.

"Oh hey Bryan. He's outside with Matt and them."

"Oh ok. Hey,you wanna go upstairs and check out my new N64 game?"

"Sure." She followed him into his room upstairs. As she was playing the game,she felt his kiss the back of her neck and forcefully put his hands on her chest.

"Bryan! Stop!" She jumped up and ran outside.

"Zac,"she said pulling at his sleeve.

"What's wrong baby?"

"Oh,"she just couldn't tell him since Bryan was one of his bestfriends,"Um,I just wanted to tell you that the ball in Time Square is gonna drop in two minutes."

"Ok,here,sit in my lap." She sat down as he told her and started talking to all the guys. Soon,they all walked inside and watched the big tv screen as the coutdown of seconds started.

"5! 4! 3! 2! 1!!!" Zac french kissed Rebecca deeply.

"Happy New Years Baby."

"I love you."

"I love you too." They kissed again,as many people were doing.

"Here you two,have some champagne,"Matt said handing them two glasses. Zac drank his quickly,then got another glass. Soon,he had had way too many glasses.

"Ike,we have to go. Zac is wasted."

"What?"

"Yeah,he just kept on drinking champagne."

"Ok,let's go." They carried Zac to the doorway,then he puked everywhere.

"Zac! Why the hell did you do this?" Rebecca yelled. They dropped Amy and Katherine off,then went to Rebecca's house. Zac tried to kiss her as she got out.

"No! Don't you even try to kiss me while you're drunk." With that,she went inside,worried. Ike and Tay were careful not to wake their parents as they carried Zac to bed,he fell asleep right away.

"Hey,how's Zac?"Rebecca asked Tay the next morning on the phone.

"Still asleep. He'll have one hell of a hangover."

"I can't believe he did that."

"Me neither."

"Tell him to call me when he wakes up."

"Ok,bye."

Two hours later her phone rang.

"Hey Rebecca,I'm sorry about last night."

"It's ok Zac,jsut don't let it happen again."

"I won't. Can you come over? I don't feel very good."

"I wonder why,"she said sarcasticly.

"Can you come?"

"I'll be there in 2 minutes."

"Hurry. I love you."

"I love you too." She ran downstairs and got some brownies and cookies that her mom had just made. As she walked in Ike tried to get the brownies.

"No,no! They're for Zac stupid! Go get some."

"Where are they?"

"In the kitchen at my house. Here's the key." She walked upstairs and into the guys' bedroom. Zac was laying on Tay's bunk watching cartoons.

"You look horrible Baby,"she said sitting beside him.

"I feel like shit."

"That's why you don't get drunk you idiot. Here,I brought some brownies and cookies for you."

"Thanks Babe."
