5. Byley gas plant

  1. Following refusal of last application and appeal against first refusal, Cranage Parish Council had called a meeting of local councils and RAP to discuss future co-operation. JB (Chairman) and DRP (Chairman of T&P) had attended and JB gave brief report.
  2. Each Council asked to send one rep. to working group.
  3. Agreed this Committee would support DRP as this Council’s rep. and to T&P Committee making a decision at its next meeting

6. Christmas lights

  1. Letter received from Rotary re equipment, whereabouts of power points and meters etc.
  2. Rotary wanted Council to take over equipment. Agreed Clerk inspect equipment to assess storage requirements and consider asking CBC about availability of a garage
  3. Noted equipment would require electrical inspection
  4. Clerk to arrange meeting of interested parties in September and to sort out funds

7. Review of site visits

  1. Clerk had produced report of site visits and points raised at APM
  2. Agreed this committee’s section of report be sent to Bob Hardiker at CBC. Clerk to discuss with him a programme with a view to assisting BKV entry and monitoring progress on ongoing projects
  3. When report complete and approved by T&P a copy be sent to Village Volunteers
  4. Agreed Clerk ask all Councillors to assist with work of Village Volunteers

8. Middlewich Road Playing Field

Committee considered request for use of equipment to be limited to under 12’s. Agreed Clerk discuss with Bob Hardiker of CBC

  1. Ongoing problems discussed.
  2. Agreed Clerk make enquiries about land on Manor Lane and Leisure Centre

  1. Imprints Community Arts Group – Letter from CBC asking for funding. Agreed refer to Finance Committee
  2. Tree – Victoria Avenue – Council request for a TPO not agreed by CBC
