2. Declarations of interests

  1. RCP indicated that he would not take part in discussion about planning applications because of his membership of CBC Planning Committee
  2. JB SJM TJH and Clerk declared non-prejudicial interest in Twinning Association item
  3. SJM TJH and ACR declared non-prejudicial interest in Youth Club item

Resolved: 10-10-02 approved

 
     

4. Byley update

Members reviewed present position – in particular:

  1. Request from Cranage Parish Council to support an application for a judicial review
  2. Action of JB ACR DRP (as Chairman, Vice-Chairman and Chairman of T&P) and Clerk in declining to support for financial reasons – this was supported by all members present
  3. Disclosure of deal between CCC and Scottish Power which had resulted from Cranage Parish Council writing a letter before action threatening judicial review proceedings and from representations made at the Inquiry
  4. Progress of the Inquiry
  5. A request from Cranage Parish Council for non- financial support for its actions – agreed this be done provided no costs incurred or action be taken which could result in a costs order being made against HCPC

8. Dane Valley

JB produced detailed photographs which she had taken – agreed these be sent to CBC with a request for an officer to attend the next meeting with a view to discussing action to be taken. Also report ragwort infestation requiring attention

No progress since Youth Forum – Clerk to press for progress before next meeting

  1. TJH reported on meeting held on 21-11-02
  2. Agreed Clerk write to CBC re:

  • need to make progress
  • marketing of pitches
  • costs of access and car parking
  • addition budget input required

  1. Twinning Association – Members considered financial position of association following recent visit from Bessancourt. Agreed request be made to Finance Committee for interest free loan for 12 months on basis that Council formed the Association and has maintained interest in it
  2. Village Volunteers – Agreed Clerk ask CBC officers to resume contact
