4. Matters arising

Clerk reported no further information from Mini-bus Assoc.

 

 

 

 

5. Financial report /update

Clerk reported on the following:

1.      Half year accounts awaiting finalisation on receipt of bank statements

2.      No significant payments made since last report

3.      Second instalment of precept received

4.      Current bank balances noted

6. Insurance – village names signs

Agreed Clerk obtain quotes for covering road signs and review cover generally

7. Byley

Committee considered position in light of statement from CCC that they would not offer evidence but inquiry would continue.  Following points noted:

1.      Vale Royal BC intended to continue

2.      Advice being sought from CAP’s advisors about merits of continuing and costs risks

3.      Meeting of CAP called for 04-11-02

4.      Account had been received in region of £7400 for work already done

Resolved:

1.      Chairman, Vice-Chairman, DRP and Clerk endeavour to attend meeting on 04-11-02

 

 

2.      As costs now incurred promised payment of £2,000 should be made forthwith

3.      Further involvement should depend on advice from CAP advisors but should take into account strong local opinion against the proposals and position to be reviewed at Council meeting on 07-11-02

4.      Meeting on 04-11-02 must be pressed to resolve financial issues
