BEATLE John Lennon is being sued for divorce.
His wife, Cynthia Lennon, has filed a petition in which she alleges her husband has committed adultury.
The woman named in the petition is 34-year-old Japanese actress Yoko Ono.
Soliciters acting for both 27-year-old John and Yoko have entered an appearance denying Mrs. Lennon's allegations.
John and Cynthia were married in 1962 and have a five-year-old son.
Their home at St. George's hill, Weybridge, Surrey is up for sale at £40,000.
Yoko is married to American filmed producer, Anthony Cox.
The hearing of the petition is expected to be before the end of the year. Meanwhile soliciters for John and Cynthia are negociating financial settlements.
