Madora (Dora) R. Odneal was born January 25, 1852,
it is believed in Moniteau Co., although it could have been Cooper Co.,
MO. She married Thomas William Hanna March 31,1872 in Moniteau Co., MO.
Thomas was born July 21, 1842 in Ireland and was a farmer. He died February
1, 1904 and is buried in Union Cemetery, near Jamestown, MO. Dora died
July 27, 1924 and is also buried in Union Cemetery, although there is no
stone but her obiturary says she is buried there. The inscription on Thomas'
tombstone is;
BENEATH THIS STONE WE PLACE IN TRUST
NOT THE IMORTAL BUT THE DUST
OF ONE ON EARTH TO ME MOST DEAR
WHO LEARNED IN YOUTH HIS GODTO FEAR
They had two sons
ROBERT THOMAS HANNA
Robert (Bob) was born about 1876 near Jamestown,
Moniteau Co., MO and later moved to Texas. He married his first cousin
Eula Odneal, daughter of John Washington, about 1910. Bob was an insurance
agent. Bob died in 1942 in and Eula in 1970, both in Corpus Christi, TX.
They had one daughter Dorothy, born Sept. 15,
1913. She married Irby Craig. She was a nurse and irby worked for the San
Antonio Machines and Supply. Bob, Eula, Dorothy and Irby are all
buried at Rose Hill Cemetery in Corpus Christi, TX. There are no
living descendants of this family.
GEORGE A. HANNA
George was born Sept. 6, 1878 near Jamestown, Moniteau
Co., MO and died July 31, 1902. He is buried near his father in Union Cemetery,
near Jamestown, MO. The inscription on his tombstone is;
