JOHN ODENEAL Jr.

John Odeneal Jr married Martha YoungPatrick, daughter of William & Mary Patrick, June 5 1802, Rockingham Co., NC. All known records of John are in Rockingham Co., North Carolina where he had large land holdings.
Two daughters, Sarah and Mary married Fewell brothers while still living in NC and then move to MO about 1833. An article in the Aug. 29 1839 Western Emigrant, a Cooper Co., MO paper, reads; Married 30 July of last month at the house of Col. Calvin Waldo, by the Rev. David Weir Mr Joseph W. Cox of Osceola to Miss Jane H. Odenal all of Rives Co., MO. The marriage was in Rives (now Henry) Co., MO. In 1860 Jane O. Cox age 18, born in MO is living with Milton Odeneal in MS. I believe this is a daughter of Jane and Joesph. Also; I here by certify that Mr. Henry Bryant of St. Louis, MO and Miss Matilda O'Neill of Cooper Co. MO were joined together in Holy matramony by me on the 6th of Oct, 1847. S. Tompkins J. C. Src, Cooper Co. Marriages & Western Emigrant Newspaper. I believe both Jane and Matilda are the daughters of John Odeneal Jr. and if so all four daughters moved to MO and the three sons to MS.
