In Madison Co. Tn court records of 1822-35 a Wilmoth Edmonson is Admx. of the estate of Robert Edmonson.

I believe the above record supports the claim that this is Wilmoth Odeneal, John and Sarah Odeneal's daughter, that Robert is her husband, and they had three daughters, possibly four who were, Sarah A. Edmondson, Eliza Edmondson, Wilmoth (spelled Wilmarth in the transcript) Edmondson and Elvira Edmonson. This Wilmoth could be the mother but the way she is named with the others it seems more likely this is a daughter and that the mother is dead by this time also, since the guardian is Bartholomew G. Stewart and not the mother, Wilmoth. The Odeneal in NC is most likely John, Wilmoth's brother. The reason being is that her father is dead and John is the only family member left in NC. The mention of Tate Odmil , which is almost for sure her brother makes even a better case for her being in this family and a Robert Edmonston was Adm. of the estate of Tate Odeneal. There is also a John Edmonston in the 1810 will of Sarah Odeneal, proven at July term 1810, this could be the Robert's father.
