Roger's History

R’gtorsht’s tale- The creation of Roger

R’gtorsht was always the strange one; he was the runt and the outcast of the litter, at a mere 7’2” and 20 stone (130kg). He was always the wimp, being only able to carry small boulders in each hand, and could only crush it using both hands. He was picked on during Poññe (equivalent of Earth school).

All this was, of course until he discovered that he was of the Old Blood when he accidentally transferred into his Wål form (ones Wål is ones alternate form. i.e. chaos or demon form) while being thrown literally across the room. His form, incidentally is a giant (even by their standards) 9’4” winged demon with huge claws about 1.5 foot long, razor sharp (double damage) but extremely durable (extra strong) and also included in this neat package is an amazing Bezerker ability that reduces anyone who this rage is targeted upon (within R’gnash of course) to the equivalent of an insignificant bug about to be squashed. With this advantage of height, rage, and surprise, R’gtorsht, for the first time in his life got to express his pent-up fury and deal back some of the pain and humiliation that he has carried with him over the millennia. Suffice to say, the five ringleaders of this particular group were removed of their unnecessary limbs and R’gtorsht kept their souls to forward his advancement in the future. When he returned home after this event and had safely stored the souls, he was interrupted in his meditations by two guardians of the Great Ones (Amberites) who promptly summoned (conjured) restraint and without further ado carted him off to the Old Blood (descendants of the Great Ones) training school.

Time Passes...

R’gtorsht excelled in all forms of sorcery and summoning (conjuration), especially in the advanced offensive and dark sides of the art of magic. His specialities are probably due to his disadvantaged childhood. R’gtorsht had a special relationship with one of his instructors, Hwang. Hwang took him on as his personal apprentice and tought R’gtorsht the advanced uses to which his skills could be put to use.

In the end, Hwang saw that Roger needed to leave this place if he was to grow any more in his powers. So he was led down into the depths of the school, through many hidden doors and secret passages until he was brought before a vast cavern which contained the graceful tracery of a broken Pattern. Of course he was thouroughly coached and sworn to secrecy beforehand, here it was.

Walking the Pattern was the hardest thing that R’gtorsht ever did. The Broken Pattern is a feindish construction which forces the user through a rigorous trial by fire which can only be attempted by the most powerful that Shadow can produce. The Pattern that he walked was almost complete, with only very small sections removed. Thus he reached the center, thought of the place he had been tought of, Amber and dissappeared from the room, not to be seen for a long time.
