Ego Park

Latest one. Worked with Ivan Julian of the Voidoids & Matthew Sweet. Blast to work with. Great sounds. Groovy studio as well with the Rocket Scientist behind the boards. First time we brought in other musicians. We're usually not so outgoing. Listen for yourself.

Gravity Rocks cd

"Boston you're my home." Ventured into snow to work with Robert from Laughing Academy and Malcolm from Sugar. We tried to outdo ourselves by switching gears as often as possible on this one. It's got that comp feel. Two freakin years in the making. We recorded an earlier version on 4-track for a vinyl-only release that never saw the light of day. A couple of spillovers (8 & 14) made it.

Downers Pharmacy cd and cassette

Compilations

What the World Needs Now (Bacharach tribute) cd

Song: Make It Easy On Yourself

One of the funner recordings we've done. The artist name was incorrectly identified on the cd. It should have read "Idle Grant Conspiracy". We did the cut with Boston's Willard Grant Conspiracy. Like twenty-some people packed into this tiny studio. It felt like a Phil Spector session. (Pete Weiss knows way too much about Burt Bacharach.)

Paul Austin- acoustic guitar
James Burke- bass
Keith Campbell- electric and acoustic guitars
Will Croxton- lead vocal, acoustic guitar
Lyn Doiron- vocals
Eric Droat- acoustic guitar
Robert Fisher- vocal
Peter Liname- piano, acoustic guitar
Sean O'Brien- acoustic guitar
James Renard- drums
Malcolm Travis- tuning fork
Pete Weiss- mellotron

Recorded at Zippah Studios, Boston, MA 8/15/97
Produced by Robert Fisher and Malcolm Travis
Engineered by Brian Charles, Pete Weiss, and Peter Liname
Mixed by Pete Weiss
Released on Big Deal, 2/98
