The Felicitous Fat Cat

        Hand-made Stained Glass Urns

Until just recently, I had the opportunity
to share the life of a most wonderful cat.
        His name was FAT CAT.
In April he was diagnosed with TERMINAL CANCER
and had to be put to sleep.
This cat was EVERYTHING to me!
I felt the need to have him near me,
so I decided to have his remains cremated.
My dilemma came when I had no container
        to store his remains in.
I happen to be a stained glass artist,
so I set out to design an urn
        worthy of my special friend.
The result was a beautiful stained glass urn
and the inspiration to create custom-designed
        urns for others.
Sometimes, it's funny how events in one's life
can lead to a calling or path one must follow.
I feel that is the case here.
Through the loss of my dear friend,
I've gained the desire to share
        my special product with others,
        hoping it may provide
        comfort, beauty, and serenity.

My hand-made urns are comprised of two parts.
They hold the cremains in the base,
        which is crafted from
        MIRRORED ANTIQUE GLASS
so as to provide a receptacle
that is private and not see-through.
The colors are very deep and "rich"
and there are many to choose from.
The top part is crafted from
        CLEAR TEXTURED GLASS
and houses a candle or small oil lamp
        that may be lit
        in remembrance of your furchild.
The front of the urn's top is a clear window
        to view the flame
or can be used to hold a photo.
        There is also an option
for a hand-painted portrait for this space.
        Both top and bottom
        can be COLOR CUSTOMIZED!
Even if the pet's ashes are scattered,
the urn can act as the vehicle,
        and afterwards,
become a memorial to your pet.
As a unique, completely custom-made piece,
each pet's urn is as individual as it is.
No two will ever be the same.
In addition, your pet's urn will serve
as a piece of functional art
        that will endure for years.
        Prices begin at $95.
        Hand-painted portraits are $20 extra.

I am developing additional styles and also jewelry which can contain a small part of the cremains (or fur, etc.) so that your beloved pet can be with you always. In addition, I have begun crafting exquisite urns in sizes capable of accomodating human remains.
