Since the Galway nightlife is the one I am most accustomed to , I will start with Galway's clubs. If anyone wants to review their local nightclub email me on shady@irishpop.zzn.com and we'll give it a slot!!! So without further adue....
Bogarts!!
One of Galway's newest clubs, and one of my faves, Bogarts is a modern
club, with phycadelic video screens, where they play a mix of chart
and dance music. Promotions are a regular occurance--as is the
dancefloor commentary dj--watch out for when he pours shots from the
tops of the tables..... can you get the drink in your mouth without
spilling any on top of yourself????
Bogarts is bringing Salthill back to life, and is highly recommended
for those of you looking for a good night out in Galway!!! Attached
to Breezers bar, it guarantees a good night out!!!

THE ALLEY
Situated in at the top of shop street , the Alley is an old favourite
of Galway's. Modelled in a warehouse style, the music is Chart and
Dance. The Alley has four different bars within itself, but beware,
its quite
difficult to get in without an I.d. (Tip: Speak Irish to the bouncer
with the grey beard-- it never fails). The Alley can tend to be a bit
of a "cattle market" , but if you're looking to score, you're unlikely to fail!!!!

G.P.O.
Different styles of music each night, the GPO is a great club for
variety. With Drum and Bass nights, to rave and hardcore, and
indie/dance , its best to check before you pay in. Sunday's are
Murphys' comedy club night in the ajoining drum bar, and come highly
recommended, for a good laugh and free addmittance into the GPO
afterwards.
The BEST thing about the GPO HAS to be the "Shite Nights" which are
held every bank holiday Monday. These are fancy dress nights out,
with a certain theme, and previous themes have included Charlie and
The Chocolate Factory, Pjama parties, and many more!!!! Free entry to
those in fancy dress-- and an experience NOT TO BE MISSED!!!! The
GPO is on Eglinton Street, next to the Post Office!!!!

Cuba*
Another of Galway's new nightclubs, Cuba* in Eyre Square celebrated
its first birthday party recently. Cuba* is a good option for those
who can't decide whether they would like to see a live band or disco
all night. Cuba has 2 different floors, so you can swap and change
without much effort. (Unless you've had too much to drink that is,
and can't make it up the stairs!!)
Cuba* tends to be popular with foreign students, and those not from
Galway, but for some reason it has never really established a good
reputation with Galway's own crowd. Tuesdays
nights have been given the title "Sushi" and are in accociation with
NUIG and Johnny Moy Dj plays Tuesdays on a regular basis. I have one question though, that no one seems to be able to answer..... what's with the asterix??? (Cuba*)
More Galway clubs to soon be added....LIQUID, CENTRAL PARK, CHURCH
LANE, AND THE WARWICK.
if you would like to review your city's clubs, email me on the above
address.
